The Youth Leadership Program, coordinated by Real Life Speakers Toastmasters and hosted by ANMN ESSER Program, is a dynamic and interactive workshop series designed for young individuals aged 14 to 18. Spanning eight sessions, each lasting between one to two hours, the program is conveniently scheduled during or after school hours or on weekends. This program aims to foster essential communication and leadership skills through a blend of practical activities and theoretical learning.
Program Objectives: Participants in the Youth Leadership Program will:
- Evaluate and enhance their speaking abilities.
- Learn to prepare and deliver structured speeches.
- Engage in impromptu talks to improve quick thinking and spontaneity.
- Control and effectively use their voice, vocabulary, and gestures for impactful communication.
- Receive and give constructive feedback, fostering a supportive growth environment.
Learning Environment: The workshop provides a supportive and inclusive environment where participants can:
- Share and explore diverse cultural experiences and perspectives.
- Practice public speaking skills with peers and family members, enhancing their confidence and delivery in a familiar setting.
- Benefit from the insights and expertise of experienced evaluators, including a Four-time champion of District 106 Toastmasters Speech, a dedicated father of three, and a seasoned Financial Executive.
Eligibility
This program is open to youth who is
- Aged 10-17 years old.
- Eager to explore and develop their leadership potential.
- Accompanied by your legal guardian.
Expected Outcomes
Through their participation in this program, youth will have the opportunity to:
- Express what they have learned and share their thoughts.
- Develop self-confidence through public speaking.
- Allow parents to gain insight into their children’s aspirations and perspectives.
