ANMN Board Elections 2025: Call for Nominations

Dear ANMN and Nepali Community Members,

I hope this email finds you well. As you may be aware, ANMN will be holding board elections in April, and we are now accepting nominations for the positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

If you want to run for any of these positions, we encourage you to submit your nomination using the attached form. The deadline for submitting nominations is March 24th, 2025. Please note that you must be a current member of ANMN to be eligible to run for a board position.

To submit your nomination, please fill out the Nomination Form (below). Once we receive your nomination, we will confirm your eligibility and provide you with further instructions on how to proceed with your campaign.

We hope you won’t, but if you must, you have until March 31st to withdraw your nomination by emailing ANMNElection@NepCanUS.com.

If you are not interested in running for a board position but would still like to participate in the election, we encourage you to register to become a member of ANMN using the ANMN Membership Form. You must be a member of ANMN and be over the age of 18 to be eligible to vote. You will be able to become a member and register to vote on the day of the election. Voting will take place on-site during ANMN 2025 New Year celebration on April 12th, 2025.

ANMN Election Guidelines

  • Start Time and duration of election:

4:00 PM -5:30 PM.  

  • Opportunities for the candidates to present themselves, how where, when:

Candidates can send email appealing ANMN mass through ANMN mailing list before the Election Day to introduce themselves with their vision, commitment to Organization and community and their past experiences.

  • Counting the ballots:

Election Committee members:  Bhaskar Tripathy, Bijay Shrestha, Binayak Marahatta

Other Volunteers: TBD

  • What to do if there is a tie?

There will be a re-election within two weeks.  Election committee will meet and decide on election date and how to do the re-election.

  • How are we going to verify memberships?

Use ANMN membership list.  All active members, renewed members, and new members will be allowed to vote.

  • Election Results:  Will be announced after vote counting is completed (around 8:30 PM  – 9:00 PM).
